Lord give me strength….
I’m so proud of myself right now. I have been so successful in my transition to natural hair so far. The only thing that has been bothering me is the fact that I haven’t been able to notice my natural curl pattern yet. Luckily, I am coming close to the point where I am ready to chop off the relaxed ends of my hair! Im so nervous!!
During this transition, I have been wearing wigs, as you know, and they have really been seeing me through. I have four in total but I only really wear three of them on the regular. I think I’ll do a blog post about them in the near future showing each wig and how I make them.
I also just bought some edge control because I really miss having my edges laid. When I got relaxers, I didn’t really need edge control. Now, I need it more than ever and this stuff right here!!!!……Boy this stuff is good.

I took a tooth brush and had them laying like a winding road. #Slayed

Bonjour November (and hello student loans -__-). November is one of my favorite fall months of the year and not solely because it’s my birthday month. Halloween is finally over and we can enjoy the holidays, my favorite time of the year. So below are some things that will get you through the heart of fall.
1 An oversized sweater
Oversized sweaters are a major key! They are so comfy and super stylish at the same time. The ones with the cut outs add an extra pizazz and if you can find one with a cut out choker like the one below, you’re set.
2. Deep Color Lipstick
In every makeup maven’s mind, this time of the year where we can get away with dark color lipstick on a regular basis. We live for colors like purple, brown, etc. It sort of just makes the outfit ya know?
3. Thigh High Boots
These things can take an outfit from a simple 4 to a fierce 7. They are the adult version of the boots we wore in middle school that hit right below the knee. I haven’t gotten mine yet but I imagine they are going to keep our legs warm in the winter when we go out in short dresses.
*Despite what is depicted in mainstream media, thigh high boots are for thick girls too*
4. A Good Tea
I know this is random but tea is so good for you. I have grown to love tea. Specifically herbal tea, but tea is tea. I’m the type of person that can’t drink tea in the warmer months of the year, but the colder months are set aside for tea (and an occasional cup of hot chocolate). Im usually up to try any kind of tea but my favorite is rooibos and Zen made by Tazo.
5. Bomber Jacket
I foresee the bomber jacket becoming the new leather jacket. Something everyone is going to have in their closet. Don’t worry though, leather jackets have and always will be in style. The bomber jacket is just for a relaxed, more sporty, yet put together look.
